How The 4-Stage Face Lifting Process Works

To Rebuild the Skin, A Rejuvenation Process Needs to Utilise Technologies That Penetrate All 5 Layers of The Epidermis to Rebuild It from The Ground Up!

The Epidermis is made up of 5 layers, each performing an integral function in order to keep the body safe from infections, viruses,  bacteria and other microorganisms. It also regulates the amount of water released from the body into the atmosphere through transepidermal water loss.

For The Skin to Appear Naturally Youthful And Healthy It Must Be Thick, Strong And Functioning Optimally In Order To Create Rich Collagen And Elastin Growth Ongoing.

Young skin cells create high levels of Adenosine triphosphate (ATP) which is the very energy currency within the cell and referred to by biologists as the energy of life. High levels of ATP creation are needed in order to create collagenelastin. It is also important to have ongoing blood vessel growth. These three components, collagen, elastin and blood vessel growth are integral to giving the skin a plump and youthful appearance.

Thinning Skin, Also Referred To As Skin Collapse.

As we mature the skin thins, due to the depletion of blood vessel, collagen and elastin growth.

Thining skin becomes more fragile over time and can become highly reactive to skin care products, pigmentation issues, less able to protect against sun damage and develops fine lines, wrinkles and sagging. Due to losing its integrity and strength. Thinning skin also becomes more susceptible to bruising and breaking apart easily.

It is important to understand the function and structure of the skin in order to choose the right treatment process to reverse damage and the effects of skin collapse.

The 4-Stage Face Lifting Process

Let’s look at how the 4-Stage Face Lifting process works to rebuild and repair each of the 5 layers of the Epidermis.

1st Layer Of The Epidermis – Stratum Corneum

This dry, dead layer helps prevent the penetration of microbes and the dehydration of underlying tissues and provides a mechanical protection against the abrasion of the more delicate, underlying layers.

2nd Layer Of The Epidermis – Stratum Lucidum

This is a thin, clear layer of dead skin cells named for its translucent appearance under a microscope. It is readily visible by light microscopy only in areas of thick skin which are found on the palms of the hands and the soles of the feet. Located between the stratum granulosum and stratum corneum layers, it is composed of three to five layers of dead, flattened keratinocytes. The keratinocytes of the stratum lucidum do not feature distinct boundaries and are filled with eleidin, an intermediate form of keratin. They are surrounded by an oily substance that is the result of the exocytosis of lamellar bodies accumulated while the keratinocytes are moving through the stratum spinosum and stratum granulosum. The thickness of the stratum lucidum is controlled by the rate of mitosis (division) of the epidermal cells. Melanosomes in the stratum basale determine the darkness of the stratum lucidum.

3rd Layer Of The Epidermis Stratum Granulosum

The stratum granulosum is responsible for the skin’s barrier properties and makes up approximately 80% of the thickness of the Epidermis. These cells contain keratohyalin granules, which are filled with histidine- and cysteine-rich proteins that appear to bind the keratin filaments together and gives the skin its elasticity.

4th Layer Of The Epidermis – Stratum Spinosum

Interspersed among the keratinocytes of this layer is a type of dendritic cell called the Langerhans cell, which functions as a macrophage by engulfing bacteria, foreign particles, and damaged cells that occur in this layer.

5th layer of the epidermis – Stratum Basale

The stratum basale (basal layer, sometimes referred to as stratum germinativum) is the deepest layer of the five layers of the epidermis and is responsible for the process of cell division (mitosis) which works to replenishes the skin cells. After forming new cells in the basal layer these cells are pushed upward towards the stratum spinosum and through it. The Statum Spinosum and Basal layers are responsible for the elasticity and resiliency of the skin.

Dermis

The Dermis  is the layer of skin beneath the epidermis. This layer of the skin is responsible for protecting the body from stress, strain and provides it with the cushioning capability that enables the skin to withstand impacts such as when the body falls the ground. This layers of the skin is made up of collagen, elastin and blood vessels as well as hair follicles, sweat glands, sebaceous glands, apocrine glands and lymphatic vessels.

It is very important to keep the Dermis thick, strong and healthy as it helps to protect the body and plays a huge part in creating the bulk, (plump appearance) of the skin. The blood vessels contained within this layer of the skin are responsible for delivering the nutrients and oxygen that keeping it functioning properly and looking its best.

Step One of the 4-Stage Face Lifting process: 2-Stage Exfoliation

It is not enough just to grind away at the outer layers of the skin the way traditional Microdermabrasion does. Powerful Ultrasound technology is needed to pull impurities out from deep within the outer layers of the skin!

This process de-clogs and cleans the two outermost layers of the skin, allowing them to function optimally. The 2-Stage Exfoliation process decreases the effects of, or remain free from the formation of congestion that leads to minute infections and blockages, (such as blackheads, whiteheads and pimples).

Powerful Ultrasound Exfoliation is the first step of the 4-Stage Face Lifting Process penetrating the outer layers of the skin deeply and pulling up impurities that can cause whiteheads, blackheads and pimples. This process actually creates more space between the skin cells in order to allow the technologies used within the 4-Stage process to penetrate it more deeply and effectively.

Traditional Microdermabrasion may also be provided if the outer layer of the skin looks to be suffering from congestion caused by a buildup of dead skin cells.

The 2-Stage Exfoliation process effects both the Stratum Corneum and Stratum Granulosum layers of the epidermis, creating more space for the other technologies used with the 4-Stage Face Lifting process to penetrate and effect the skin optimally.

Step Two of the 4-Stage Face Lifting process: Green LED Light Rejuvenation

Green LED Light has anti-inflammatory properties that soothe the outer layers of the skin.

The Stratum Basale layer of the epidermis contains melanocytes, cells that produce melanin, the pigment primarily responsible for giving skin its colour. Melanin, (which is a natural sunblock) is transferred to keratinocytes in the Stratum Spinosum to protect cells from UV rays.

Green LED Light therapy helps to lighten Hyperpigmentation, and decreases the look of dilated capillaries, under eye circles, sun spots and is incredibly effective in treating pigmentation resulting from hormonal changes and imbalances such as Melasma.

Step Three of the 4-Stage Face Lifting process: Red LED Light Rejuvenation

Red LED Light Rejuvenation has powerful healing and rebuilding effects on the bodies tissues, boosting cellular function within the cells of the skin to enable it to rebuild and repair quickly and more effectively. Adenosine triphosphate (ATP) is referred to by scientists as the energy of life and its creation is boosted by up to 47% when skin cells are exposed to Clinical-grade Red LED Light triggers an increase in collagen, elastin and growth.

Red LED Light therapy penetrates deeply and effects all layers of the skin Including the Stratum Basale layer, and the Dermis beneath, working to boost the powerful effects of the Venus Freeze therapy to gain more dramatic treatment outcomes.

Step Four of the 4-Stage Face Lifting process: Venus Freeze Therapy

Venus Freeze Therapy uses medical-grade Magnetic Pulse and Radio Frequency technologies in order to produce rich collagen and elastin growth within all layers of the Epidermis and Dermis. The depth of penetration and strength of the technology are very important enabling us to provide treatments that thicken and strengthen the skin to not only make it look plump, firm and naturally healthy but also to make it more resistant to environmental damage such as the harmful effects of the sun.

Creating thick, healthy and properly functioning skin is the very first step to attaining a truly natural look and should be done before advanced (however more superficial) treatments such strong Collagen Induction Microneedling, Venus Viva or Plasma Fibroblast therapies are performed in order to make the skin better able to repair and rebuild after treatments, and gain the ultimate in end treatment results.
