As of September 2022, HIFU treatments have been added to Jessicat’s Medi-Spa treatment menu 😺
This picture was taken from the following video footage:
On 14-07-22 Jessicat treated the right side of her face only with a comprehensive HIFU treatment after completing her training with The Australian Dermal & Laser Institute. This was done so she could assess the results from her first HIFU treatment, and she took the after photos on 19-09-22. Needless to say, Jessicat was very impressed with the results she gained after having just one treatment and quickly began providing HIFU treatments to all of her regular clients so they too could enjoy the same incredible results.
Leading up to doing the HIFU treatment Jessicat stopped performing all her usually treatments, being 4-Stage Face Lifting treatments done every 1-2 months and monthly Intensive Microcurrent muscle treatments. This was done for around 12 months leading up to her first HIFU treatment so she could properly assess the results of a single HIFU treatment.
Jessicat very much looks forward to evening up the results gained from having her first HIFU treatment and moving on to performing treatments on problem areas such as her neck areas and combining these treatments with her other treatment processes to gain and maintain a timelessly youthful look ongoing.
How HIFU therapy works:
High-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) is a relatively new cosmetic treatment for skin tightening that some consider a noninvasive replacement for surgical facelifting procedures due to the powerful rejuvenating effects the therapy can have on the appearance of the face and neck areas.
HIFU stands for High Intensity Focused Ultrasound and basically works by creating tiny holes in the muscles of the lower face and under the jaw, (using the 4.5mm cartridge), fat of the lower face and under the jaw, (using the 3mm cartridge) and skin, (using the 3mm and or 1.5mm cartridge). These holes are filled with new collagen, elastin and blood vessel growth, triggered by the body’s natural healing process which works to create thicker, firmer skin on the full face, neck and chest areas, more toned and lifted muscles on the lower face and under the jaw areas and break down unwanted fat under the jaw and on the lower face.
HIFU therapy was first used for improving the look of facial features in 2008. Before that, it was used for medical procedures such as treating tumours. Since that time HIFU treatments have graduated from lifting the brow areas to improving the look of fine lines and wrinkles on the upper chest and neckline (décolletage) areas, and then on to being used to create a more lifted appearance to the facial features and decreasing the look of fine lines and wrinkles on the face and neck areas overall.
HIFU body treatments are also now available at many clinics across the world to decrease fat, tighten the skin and gain a more sculpted and toned appearance to the body.
Results from HIFU therapy develop over time. Sometimes dramatic results can be seen quickly over the first few weeks, and other times results are not noticeable until after a few months after a treatment is performed. It is important to understand that results fully develop over a 9-12 month period and every body is different. There are many reasons /factors to consider when thinking about why one person may respond quickly to a HIFU treatment, and another may respond more slowly, including age, genetics, hormones and other physiological differences that are unique to our individual bodies’ makeup.
At Jessicat’s Medi-Spa we think of HIFU therapy as being an Icing On The Cake treatment and provide the therapy as a cheap add-on service to spoil our clients for their commitment to attaining and maintaining timelessly youthful-looking skin.
All our clients work through Initial Treatment Packages that run over 3 months and include the use of medical-grade Radio Frequency, (RF), LED Light, and other therapies such as Venus Viva, traditional Collagen Induction Fractional Microneedling (CIFM), or Collagen Induction Fractional Microneedling with RF, (CIFM+RF) therapies to gain the most dramatic results possible. Microcurrent muscle work may also be added to clients’ Initial Treatment Packages to target the problem of depleting muscle mass that can occur due to the natural ageing process.
Thinning skin and depleting muscle mass are the two of the biggest reasons our appearance changes as we mature and need to be targeted head-on to attain and maintain a timelessly youthful appearance.
All Jessicat clients transition from Initial Treatment packages to Silver, Gold, or Platinum Next Step Maintanance packages to build on the results gained within Initial Treatment Packages in the most cost-effective way possible.
Due to having repaired and rebuilt the skin dramatically using RF and Ultrasound therapies and Jessicat working long-term with her client’s skin, there are much fewer risks involved with Jessicat clients having HIFU therapy.
Risks are far greater for people who have thinned and fragile skin and muscles of the face and neck due to the natural effects of the ageing process.
